How The Right Door Handle Can Transform Your Room

Handles alone can trasnform a kitchen or bedroom and take the aesthetic to that next level! Below are some design tips to help you choose the right handle for your room.

Style

Different style doors can play a big factor into which type of handle to go for. As a rule of thumb a shaker style door pairs well with knob and cup handles, generally using cups on drawers and dishwasher doors.

For slab doors you tend to use thin bar handles, we love the wedge bar handle! Lincoln profile handles are also a game changer by keeping nice sleek lines throughout.

Colour/ Finish

When it comes to colour, you can go wrong with stainless steel, this is a great middle ground and goes with every colour of door.

Antique finsihes are well suited to shaker style doors, it is also a good idea to chose a colour that you can match with other accessories your the room. For example, taps, kettles, toasters, bed frames etc.

Sizes

Our handles all come in different lengths and drilling hole sizes.

Use the longer lenghts if you have a wide set of drawers or a big tall door.

Drilling hole sizes are useful to know if you are looking at simply replaving the handles in your existing kitchen or bedroom to add a bit of character. Measure your existing drilling hole size and choose a handle that is the same to avoid making unsightly holes.
